At last night's regular board meeting, the Board voted to move the end date for the semester to May 14, a week earlier than planned due to some planned construction that will impact the school kitchen. Our important events in May will all happen as scheduled: JH/HS play, Spring Concert, PreK Graduation, and HS Graduation. Please visit karvalschool.org to see our district calendar for times and dates; lots of great things happening between now and May 14th!

The Karval/Kit Carson team took 1st PLACE at Battle of the Books! The team received great support from family and friends, not to mention all the work done by Karval staff to help them succeed. We also LOVE our teammate Aniah who so thoroughly masters the list every year! Great job, team!

Our 6th–8th grade students visited The First National Bank of Hugo-Limon last Thursday! 🏦

Students learned how a bank operates, explored different types of bank accounts, and participated in a hands-on activity where they practiced budgeting, calculating taxes, and deciding how to save their leftover money. 💰📊

We also enjoyed a tour of the bank and learned so much along the way. Thank you for welcoming us and providing such a valuable real-world learning experience!

Past Karval School Students!
(Graduated or not — if you attended Karval School at any point in your life, you are a Trojan!)

I need your help with our Career Week happening March 9–12.

My name is Hannah Seymour, and I am the Math teacher and Guidance Counselor at Karval School. For the past several years, I have organized Career Week to give our students exposure to a variety of career paths.

This year, I would love to fill our hallway wall with the career journeys of former Karval students. Please take a few minutes to answer these questions.
